“We applaud the resolutions passed this week in the EU Parliament and the UN General Assembly which denounce Iran’s horrific treatment of its citizens in recent weeks amid widespread protests across the country.
The Ayatollah and his regime are rightfully rebuked by the international community as a result of the wanton slaughter of hundreds of innocent Iranian people who simply sought a better life, and rejected the hegemonic goals and extremist views of those who rule them with a merciless iron fist.
In the days ahead, we hope to see the international community continue to pressure Iran and hold it accountable for its disgraceful human rights abuses.
