“The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations is shocked and distressed by the attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump at a rally Saturday in Pennsylvania.
“We pray President Trump will make a full and speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this heinous attack, which took the life of at least one bystander, and we are grateful for the swift response by law enforcement.
“Regardless of which side of the aisle on which we fall, we are all Americans. We must come together at once to make clear that politically motivated violence is unacceptable and prevent its normalization.”
