. . . Arthur Stark, Chairman, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, issued the following statement:
“We congratulate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military on successfully dispatching Baha Abu Al Ata, a senior leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This notorious terrorist was responsible for most of the attacks launched from the Gaza Strip over the past year, and personally led attacks and attempts to harm Israeli civilians and IDF troops in which many were killed and wounded. He was an extremist who opposed any negotiations with Israel, and the world is a safer place without him.”
