New York, N.Y.. . . Stephen M. Greenberg, Chairman, and Malcolm Hoenlein, CEO, of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, condemned the horrific attack perpetrated by ISIS terrorists on worshippers attending Friday prayers at a mosque in northern Sinai that killed more than 300 people and wounded many others.
“We express our condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of those killed in this barbaric terror attack and offer our prayers for the recovery of those who were wounded.
This attack by ISIS targeting Muslims at prayer is a despicable crime and the perpetrators must be stopped. The international community should intensify efforts to help the government of Egypt stamp out this scourge of terrorism.
The Conference stands in solidarity with the Egyptian people and their government during this difficult time.”
