Israeli-American Council (IAC) Joins the Conference of Presidents

New York, NY – The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations proudly welcomes the Israeli-American Council (IAC) as its newest member, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the collective voice of the American Jewish community.

Following a rigorous review process, the Conference’s membership committee and full membership unanimously approved IAC for admission, recognizing its impactful work in uniting and engaging Israeli-Americans, fostering Jewish identity, and strengthening the bond between the United States and Israel.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Israeli-American Council to the Conference of Presidents,” said Harriet P. Schleifer, Chair of the Conference. “IAC plays a transformative role in connecting Israeli-Americans to Jewish life and advocacy, and we look forward to their contributions in strengthening our shared mission.” Founded to serve the estimated 800,000 Israeli-Americans living in the United States, IAC has become a powerful force in Jewish and pro-Israel advocacy, bringing together diverse communities across generations, political affiliations, and religious backgrounds. The organization provides a one-stop hub for engaging with Israeli culture, Hebrew language, Jewish traditions, and Israel-related activism.

“IAC is deeply honored to join the Conference of Presidents during this fateful time for our people,” said IAC national co-chairs, Dr. Avi Almozlino and Tal Shuster. “The Israeli-American voice is a vital component of American Jewry. We look forward to working with our illustrious colleagues in the Conference to strengthen the Jewish community and build for our children the bright future they deserve.”

Elan Carr, IAC’s CEO and former U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, said, “That our admission to the Conference coincided with Purim could not be more auspicious. The Conference’s motto, ‘Strength Through Unity,’ describes one of IAC’s most animating principles. This is a great moment of Jewish unity and empowerment, marking not only the integration of Israeli-Americans into the Jewish mainstream, but also the incorporation of the Israeli ethos into diaspora Jewry. !ביחד ננצח”

The IAC’s inclusion in the Conference of Presidents underscores the organization’s growth, influence, and commitment to strengthening Jewish unity. Through its broad network of community-building programs, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts, IAC continues to mobilize and empower Israeli-Americans as an integral part of the American Jewish landscape.
