Conference of Presidents Welcomes President Biden to Israel

New York, NY,… Dianne Lob, Chair, William Daroff, CEO, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Vice Chair, of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, issued the following statement:

“We extend a warm welcome to President Biden as he lands in Israel and look forward to the historic opportunity to reaffirm the unbreakable bond between the Jewish state and the United States.

“President Biden’s trip to Israel – the tenth such visit of his career – represents an opportunity to advance the bilateral relationship and build on America’s constructive role in the region, particularly advancing the recent Abraham Accords.

“We commend the joint signing of the Jerusalem Declaration of the US-Israel Strategic Partnership, which includes a joint stance against Iran’s nuclear program and regional aggression, commits the United States to follow up on the 10-year $38 billion Memorandum of Understanding on military aid signed with Israel, and addresses emerging threats and new developments in the region.”
