We encourage the people of Syria and their political factions to respect religious freedoms and ensure the security of minority groups in Syria, including the Druze, Kurdish, and Christian communities. Given the current power vacuum in Syria, we call on those with control or authority, as well as the international community, to uphold and carefully safeguard democratic ideals and basic human rights.
