Conference of Presidents Supports Bipartisan Resolution Condemning Antisemitism

. . . Dianne Lob, Chair, William Daroff, CEO, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Vice Chair of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, issued the following statement:

“We stand in full support of The Resolution Condemning the Recent Rise in Anti-Semitism, which Sens. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) introduced in the US Senate. We commend the co-chairs of the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism for taking such swift action in response to the rising number of antisemitic incidents in the United States and around the world.

This bipartisan resolution is unequivocal in its condemnation and unwavering in its demand for action to combat antisemitism in all of its forms. The resolution urges President Biden to fully implement the Never Again Education Act, which would advance education about the Holocaust and combat Holocaust denial and distortion, to appoint a qualified Ambassador to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, and to safeguard Jewish institutions through the providing of security grants.

We hope that this resolution will inspire more leaders across the political, social, and religious spectrum of America to stand up against this rising tide of antisemitism and to denounce any forms of antisemitism coming from within their own spheres or groups. Their authentic voices are the strongest tools for stopping hate.”
