Conference of Presidents Leaders Applaud President Trump’s Solemn Remarks Commemorating the Six Million Jews and Millions of Others Who Perished in the Holocaust and Welcome His Clear Commitment to Confront Anti-Semitism

New York, NY . . .  Conference of Presidents leaders today applauded President Trump’s solemn commemoration of the Nazi genocide that sought to wipe out the Jewish people, murdering six million Jews and millions of others and welcomed the President’s forceful condemnation of all forms of anti-Semitism and hate.

Stephen M. Greenberg, Chairman and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO said, “In his remarks today at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum National Days of Remembrance event at the U.S. Capitol, President Trump solemnly commemorated the six million innocent Jews whose lives were snuffed out in the Holocaust and those millions of others brutally murdered by the Nazis and honored the survivors and those who risked their own lives to defeat the Nazi scourge.

The President also clearly and forcefully condemned all forms of anti-Semitism, calling out Holocaust denial, threats to Israel’s existence, anti-Semitic discourse and rhetoric and attacks on Jewish communities.

We welcome the President’s pledge to actively confront anti-Semitism and his commitment to combat prejudice and hatred in all its ugly forms.”
