COP Executive Vice President/CEO Malcolm Hoenlein welcomes Labor MK Stav Shaffir to the Conference of Presidents.
During a meeting with Conference of Presidents leaders in New York, Israeli Knesset Member Stav, Chair of the Knesset’s Special Committee for the Transparency and Accessibility of Government Information, emphasized the imperative for young Israelis to enter the political arena, and to take a leadership role renewing Israel’s social contract for its next generation of citizens. She also spoke about successful efforts to increase transparency in the Knesset and other branches of government, especially in the economic realm, the need for more equitable allocation of government resources to underdeveloped areas and the importance of strengthening ties between the next generation of Israeli and American Jews.
