Conference of Presidents Congratulates Ambassador Nikki Haley on Being Sworn In as Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN

New York, NY … The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations today congratulated Ambassador Nikki Haley on assuming the post as Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations.

Stephen M. Greenberg, Chairman and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Conference of Presidents said, “We congratulate Ambassador Haley and wish her well as America’s representative at the UN.  President Trump made an excellent choice in appointing Ambassador Haley and the overwhelming vote in the Senate confirming her nomination reflects the bipartisan consensus that she will represent the interests of the United States in the international body with distinction.

Over the last five decades, the Conference of Presidents has enjoyed a vitally important and mutually beneficial close working relationship with U.S. Mission to the UN and we will continue to enhance that strong relationship with Ambassador Haley and her associates.

We look forward to welcoming Ambassador Haley to New York and to meeting with her at the earliest possible time to exchange views on the challenges and opportunities facing our country and the world and the ways in which we can cooperate to help the United Nations fulfill the promise of its founding ideals and values and, among others, to work together to end the blatant anti-Israel bias that permeates the world body and its agencies.”
