“The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations commends the Senate’s swift passage of legislation to support our allies, including Israel and Ukraine.
“The passage of this critical assistance to Israel by an overwhelming bipartisan majority sends a firm message that the United States stands behind its democratic allies, as authoritarian regimes, including Iran, increasingly threaten international security.
“We thank President Biden, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for putting the national imperative ahead of party politics and securing the prompt passage of this vital national security package.
“As long as Israel is under threat by Iran, Hezbollah, and the Hamas terror army, it is critical that the Jewish state maintains support from its allies for its self-defense.”
