Conference of Presidents Leaders Grateful to Ambassador Dore Gold For His Service as Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

October 13, 2016 New York, NY – – Leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations today expressed gratitude to Ambassador Dore Gold for his service to the people and government of Israel as Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Stephen M. Greenberg, Chairman and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Conference of Presidents said, “We have worked closely with Dore for many years in various capacities, including ambassador to the United Nations.  During Ambassador Gold’s leadership of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs we partnered with him and the Jerusalem Center to initiate and produce the highly successful Daily Alert digest of news and opinion articles about Israel and the Middle East which is circulated and read around the world.

Ambassador Gold is one of Israel’s most capable and experienced diplomats who in his tenure as Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has moved Israeli diplomacy in new directions, including the successful initiative to reinvigorate Israel’s ties many African nations.
