Jerusalem, February 17, 2016…Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman, and Stephen Greenberg, Chairman, condemned the bombing in Ankara today that according to recent reports took 28 lives and wounded 61 others. The leaders conveyed their condolences to the families of those who perished and prayers for recovery for those wounded. A Conference of Presidents leadership delegation visited Ankara only last week, where they met with President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Davutoğlu. One of the topics discussed in the meetings was the threat of terrorism and the need for cooperative initiatives to counter the growing threat of terrorism, domestic and cross border. Those who carry out such attacks and those who aid and abet them must be held to account.
