Arthur Stark served as Chairman of the Conference of Presidents from June 2018 through May 2021.

Mr. Stark has long been active in Jewish communal affairs at the local, national, and international levels. Prior to chairing the Conference, he served as National Chairman of Friends of the Israel Defense Forces for seven years, leading the organization to preeminence. He also was a member of AIPAC’s National Council, the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey Board, the Board of Trustees of the Rabbinical College of America, and the Board of Trustees of the Kushner Hebrew Academy and High School.

Upon being unanimously elected as Conference Chairman, Mr. Stark concluded his pioneering, forty-year career as President of Bed, Bath and Beyond, where he was instrumental in establishing the home furnishings retailer as an omni-channel, international company with $12 Billion annual revenues and over 1500 stores across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Currently, Mr. Stark is Chairman of Stark Enterprises, providing advisory services and venture capital to a broad array of companies, primarily in the technology sector. He is on the Senior Advisory Board of Jefferies, the leading global investment bank, as well as that of Vintage Partners.

Mr. Stark and his wife have four grown children and multiple grandchildren. Their two sons completed their military service as combat soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces Paratroopers Brigade.
